MEGGITT ROTATIONAL PROGRAM

MECHANICAL ENGINEER 

July 2019 – August 2020

Meggitt, North Hollywood’s rotational program for exceptional, new highly-talented graduates with Engineering degrees was intended to expose the four different types of roles within the Engineering department: Design, Manufacturing, Sustaining, and Test. The role required the graduates to be adaptable, self-motivated, and exemplify high performance to achieve profound results.

HEALTH CARE PROVIDER
IN HOME SUPPORTIVE SERVICE (IHSS)

August 2015 - August 2017


I provided health care for an elderly man suffering from epilepsy, mental disabilities, and terminal illness. I helped to Improve quality of life and relieved physical and emotional distress through empathetic care and support. I offered compassionate care with creative activities that support bodily, emotional, academic, & social growth.

STEM TUTOR
MATH CENTER

July 2016 - July 2017

I tutored college students in Physics, Calculus, Linear Algebra, Biology, Chemistry, and other lower division math classes at the Math Center at Moorpark College. I prepared for tutoring sessions by participating in the development of workshops, training materials, outreach activities, e.g. I maintained a weekly schedule of available hours within the Math Learning Center as well as attended semester orientations, MC meetings, and tutor-training sessions as required by the Director. I also ensured that students sign-in and properly check out materials of the Academic Success Centers and assisted with additional duties as needed.

COURSE EMBEDDED TUTOR
MOORPARK COLLEGE

August 2016 - December 2016

I was a Course Embedded Tutor/Student Instructor at Moorpark College where I worked in a classroom under Professor Antonious guidance to help students understand course concepts and enhance student engagement. I helped facilitate small group exercises or discussions​ and worked with individual students who require additional support during class activities. I increased class average by at least 10% and decreased number of dropped students by 15%

WORK EXPERIENCE

I provided one-on-one educational assistance to secondary school and college students. I worked with students to improve their skills in math, science, and/or physics as well as prepared lessons, and assigned and corrected homework. I also evaluated students' progress and discussed the results with students and/or their parents. In order to best suit each student's learning style, I identified each student's individual learning needs, and tailored each academic agenda.
