My name is Mona Elalami, I am a Mechanical Engineer in the Graduate Rotational Program, Cohort 9 at Meggitt. I strive to solve complex problems with sustainable and cost-effective solutions by integrating multidisciplinary teams and aligning our missions. I enjoy creating and implementing original, yet realistic concepts with my diverse and interdisciplinary skill set, resulting in substantial impacts. Excellence is always the goal, but efficiency is the key. There are always new ways to optimize, finding those ways is what gives me purpose. Energy and water are two resources that are vital and need to utilized more efficiently; that is why I would like to work on a meso-level scale to improve the amount use and waste of these two commodities. Channeling my ambitions through designs has been the most rewarding, but I always value different positions and subjects fields relating to my mission since there is always opportunity to learn and grow. Whether it may be through developing the newest lithium-ion batteries or renovating eco-friendly homes, I am excited to be a part of the giving back to the earth.
