INSTITUTE OF INDUSTRIAL AND SYSTEMS ENGINEERS

  Active Member

August 2017 - May 2019

Even though I am an Energy Engineering student, I still continue my passion to optimize and learn more about the skill sets an Industrial engineering student would gain throughout the years by socializing and attending events that the Industrial Engineering and Operational Research also known as IEOR department hosts. This organization helps me broaden my perspective in the engineering world and stay relevant on industry opportunities.

Captain
January 2018 - April 2018

I started an Intramural Soccer team because I value a healthy work-life balance. It is a great way to take well-deserved study breaks and stay active. As captain, I ensure each player receives a fair amount of time on the field, have a strong formation, and make important decisions considering the teams best interest. In our league, we were ranked 2nd place out of 10 different teams.

American Chemistry Society

Active Member
August 2016 - May 2017

American Chemistry Society is the world’s largest society for chemical professionals. This organization gave me valuable professional and personal benefits by giving me the opportunity to network with many professionals. Also, I am able to communicate and collaborate with other ACS members about my science, research, and career.

Engineering Club was one the most active clubs on campus as we managed several projects at a time. As a member, I was involved in the VEX Robotics team. As treasurer, I worked hard to ensure we received the funding needed to complete these projects and then order the parts way before the deadlines. As project manager, I divided our team into smaller teams so each can work on a component of the drone. I also worked to order the necessary parts and ensure proper funding for the project.
